Let God be God
What I believe
How do I know that God is good? I don’t. I gamble like a man. I bet my life on one side is life’s great war. I bet my life on beauty, truth and love.'
Studdart Kennedy, who hammered out his faith in the horrors of the first world war trenches.
I don’t accept ‘brand Christianity’. There are only Christians: people who live the life.
This is what I ‘believe’:
-
I don’t know what lies behind all this but trust there is something – or someone. I call it, him, God.

-
I look on God as a father in the mind of a child: half love, half apprehension.

-
I believe he has intentions for us made clear in the teaching of Jesus and other good men and women.

-
I believe that if we live our lives along these lines we will reach a relationship with God and live a purposeful, fulfilled and useful life.

-
I do not speculate about the future in all its guises. I leave it to God and trust.
...and that's all!
